House System

There are four Houses within Heritage International School: Aquarius, Leo, Libra and Taurus. Children are placed in a House and earn points for their House for academic, social, sporting and leadership activities, with weekly rewards for the House with the most points and a House Cup awarded at year end.

Governance and Ownership

Heritage International School Sokolniki is part of the Heritage School network. The governing/operating organization is Heritage Education Group JSC. The Moscow campus is operated by LLC Heritage School Sokolniki together with ANEO Heritage International School Sokolniki, while the Tyumen campus is operated by LLC Heritage School Tyumen with ANEO Heritage International School Tyumen.

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

The school uses Values-based Education as a foundation for social and emotional development. Growth Mindset is part of its approach to learning. A House System supports student belonging and community. Assemblies reinforce shared values and community. Co-curriculum options (sports, creativity and technology) develop social skills and teamwork. Pupil Representation and Themed Week promote student voice and cultural awareness.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

The education is based on the British curriculum with lessons conducted in English by highly qualified international teachers. Learning English starts from the very beginning. The UK Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Cambridge Primary curriculum are delivered in English by qualified teachers. An Integrated Russian Programme complements the English curriculum. The school fosters a multicultural and bilingual environment where children speak English in class and outside. An additional foreign language is offered.

Mental Wellbeing

The school provides a support service for children and parents. Staff listen to students and parents and offer help in any situation. The environment is guided by Values-based Education, which supports character and wellbeing. A broad Co-curriculum (more than 50 clubs) provides opportunities for social interaction and personal interests. Assemblies and Pupil Representation give students a voice and a sense of community.

Admissions

1. Contact our Admissions team to enquire about what packages and places we have available. They provide information on current enrollment options and available slots. This initial contact begins the enrolment process and sets expectations for the next steps. The information gathered helps identify a suitable placement for the child. 2. Fill in the Application Form. The form collects essential information about the student and the family as part of the enrolment process. Completing the form is a required step to move forward in the enrolment process. The next steps will be arranged after the form is submitted. The information provided helps the school plan for the applicant's admission. 3. Bring your child to an appointment with the Psychologist and Admissions Team. The appointment includes a session with the psychologist and the admissions team. The purpose is to assess the child's needs and fit with Heritage School. This visit informs the subsequent placement and enrolment decisions. 4. Provide us with the documents needed for the contract. Prepare and submit the documents required to complete enrolment formalities. Providing the documents completes the contractual process and enables progression to the contract signing. The documents are reviewed as part of finalising the enrolment. 5. Sign the educational agreement and make the payment. The educational agreement outlines terms of enrolment and the financial arrangements. Signing and payment complete the formal enrolment process. The school can then prepare for the student's start date. 6. If you plan admission in September, we can give support and advice on preparation for school.
